Dr. Linda Nkongchu

Dr. Linda Nkongchu holds a Doctorate degree in Psychiatric Nursing Practice. She is a board-certified and dedicated Family Psychiatric Nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with extensive experience in outpatient settings. She is the founder and medical director of TAS Behavioral Health. She is also a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Mary’s Center Clinic in Washington, DC. She initiated her nursing career with an Associate degree in nursing from Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland, then continued to pursue excellence in nursing, going further to graduate with honors, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, then Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Family Psychiatry Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama.

Dr. Nkongchu has more than a decade of diverse experience in psychiatric and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. She is a dynamic leader on clinical mental health teams who have helped grow and lead innovative treatment programs in the most challenging and complex environments. She believes that everyone deserves positive mental health and access to quality mental health care, no matter their stage in life. Therefore, Dr. Nkongchu strives to partner with each individual to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused mental health treatment to help you achieve your mental wellness goals. Dr. Nkongchu takes a holistic approach to mental health treatment, utilizing evidence-based practice to understand the whole person and their unique situation and treat each individual rather than a disease. She forges relationships to understand your mental health needs, then uses a caring and compassionate approach, working with each step-by-step through actionable treatment goals to help you attain your best possible mental health and wellness state.

She is qualified to evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions across the entire lifespan in people of all ages and backgrounds. She has expertise in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders, OCD, impulse control disorders, ADHD, substance abuse disorders, personality disorders, behavioral or conduct issues, sleep disorders, and other psychiatric disorders. She also has additional training in women’s health, including perinatal depression and anxiety disorders. She is a member of the ANA and APNA, and the Neuroscience Education Institute.
